Classifier Slope. In general the classifier should be installed with a slope of from 3″ to 4″ in 1 ft. The steeper the slope the less the pool area of a given size classifier. The less the pool area the less the capacity. The maximum capacity for any mesh separation is obtained at a slope of about 3″ in 1 ft.
